Rep. Paul Workman Appointed to Southwestern States Water Commission

AUSTIN – State Representative Paul Workman was today appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to serve on the Southwestern States Water Commission. The Commission works with neighboring states identifying and developing sources and methods of augmenting water supplies on a regional basis after existing water supplies are fully committed. Rep. Workman’s term on the Commission is set to expire on February 1, 2021.
“I am greatly honored by the Governor’s appointment to the Southwestern State Water Commission,” said Workman. “I appreciate Governor Abbott’s confidence and look forward to working together to advance water policies and agreements that are the best for Texas and the southwest region of the United States. As the Representative of House District 47 and member of the Committee on Natural Resources, I have worked and will continue to work to ensure adequate supplies of water for the Highland Lakes region and all of Texas.”
Rep. Workman has served the people of District 47 in the Texas House of Representatives since 2011. He serves on the House Committees on Natural Resources and Business & Industry.
